before using/spraying anything around your birds.
- Acetone- nail polish remover
- Aerosols - Hair spray, furniture polish, etc.
- Alcohol - drinking, rubbing, and items that contain alcohol
- Animals - saliva and bacteria on claws is very hazardous to birds
- Antifreeze
- Apple seeds
- Apricot seeds
- Aspirin
- Avocado - including guacamole
- Bleach
- Boric Acid
- Caffeine
- Carpet - getting stuck, or ingesting fibers
- Carpet Deodorizers
- Ceiling fans
- Celery - Has Long Stringy Fiber that can get caught in their digestive
system
- Chocolate
- Cigarette - smoke, and the actual cigarette
- Coffee
- Corncob Bedding - Grows Molds
- Crayons
- Deodorants
- Dishwasher soap
- Drain cleaner
- Electrical outlets
- Electrical wires
- Fireplaces
- Furniture polish

- Glue- super, model, etc.
- Hair care products - sprays, dyes, perm solutions, etc.

- Lead - Can be found in many items (including curtain weights, old
toys, jewelry, china, painted areas of the house, fishing
- sinkers, stained glass).
- Lighter fluid
- Medicine - prescription and over the counter
- Metal polishers and cleaners
- Mothballs
- Nail polish/remover - fumes also
- Open bodies of water - pots, tubs, toilets, etc.
- Paint - and fumes

- Peach pits and leaves
- Perfume
- Pesticides
- Pine Oil
- Pots on stove

- PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) - Nonstick coating, some brand names
are Teflon and Silverstone. Found in cookware, cooking utensils, irons, ironing board covers, hair dryers, bread makers,
etc. Any item that may have a non-stick coating.
